It was tricky to get the garage to come down in our yard and not the Thornton's. Of course Dad found a way to use his winch to save the falling garage.
Dad rented a jack hammer and spent a Saturday breaking up the cementEric Olson (Bridgett Tidwell's husband) came to help take away the cement pad from the old garage. He brought some fun toys. Dad asked if he could play too! Eric stayed from 8 in the morning until 7 pm. They dug the ditch for the footings with this fun machine.
